SELOC have a fast developing junior section, which is important as it goes without saying that young people are the future of the sport. Young people are welcome to get involved with any of our activities and orienteering is a great way to have fun while learning an important life skill, travelling to a wide variety of areas and meeting new people. In particular, we would urge parents to bring their children along to our weekly club nights and our monthly Saturday morning park events.

Our junior section combine with the young people from Pendle Forest Orienteers on their own summer tour, which in recent years has been to the Forest of Dean.

There are also a number of junior only competitons, including the Yvette Baker Trophy and the Peter Palmer Relay. Of course, the junior squad are crucial to any future success we should have as a club.
